White Cloud Mountain minnows (Tanichthys albonubes) 
are small freshwater fish native to the streams of the White Cloud Mountain in Guangdong, China. They are popular in the aquarium trade due to their hardiness, vibrant coloration, and peaceful nature. Typically, they have a silver body with an iridescent sheen, a reddish tail, and distinctive red or orange finnage. These minnows are small, usually reaching about 1.5 inches (4 cm) in length.
They thrive in cooler water temperatures ranging from 10 to 22°C , They prefer well-oxygenated water and can tolerate a wide range of water conditions, though they do best in slightly acidic to neutral pH. White Cloud Mountain minnows are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 5 to display their natural behaviors and reduce stress.
In terms of diet, they are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, small pellets, and live or frozen foods like daphnia and brine shrimp. Breeding them is relatively straightforward; they are egg scatterers and will spawn readily in a well-maintained aquarium.
