While these are a tropical to sub tropical they can survive down to temperatures as low as 4C°

named for their black-and-white, cow-like coloration, are a species of terrestrial isopods (commonly known as pill bugs or woodlice). They thrive in moist environments where they help break down organic material, contributing to soil health, they are popular in the pet trade, especially in bioactive terrariums, where they act as part of a clean-up crew. Dairy cow isopods are hardy, reproduce quickly, and are easy to care for, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced hobbyists.
